Department of Grassland Resources and Ecology aims at the key requirements of national grassland ecological conservation and development to cultivate high-level professionals in grassland management and ecological utilization. The major research field mainly focuses on the following three areas:
The research areas mainly focus on the classification of grassland resources, the sustainable utilization of grassland resources, remote sensing management of grassland resources, establishment and application of resource ecological model, and application of big data in grassland resource management.
According to the types of research and control objects, the research areas mainly include prevention and control of grassland pests, prevention and control of forage and turfgrass diseases, prevention and control of grassland rodents, prevention and control of grassland poisonous weeds, and establishment of early warning mechanism and prevention and control model for grassland conservation.
This research field mainly focuses on global climate change and grassland management, the damage and restoration mechanism of grassland ecosystem, grassland biodiversity, succession law of grassland, grassland vegetation restoration and reconstruction, comprehensive control of desertification land, the sustainable utilization of agro-pastoral ecotone, grassland use and management research. Through theoretical guidance and practice, it provides powerful scientific and theoretical support for the national grassland ecological management and utilization.
