College of Grassland Science and Technology
Mainly provides technical support and training talents for solving the shortage of high-quality forage and food safety in China. The teaching and scientific research system covers the complete industrial chain of forage production, processing, storage and utilization. Based on the source innovation, our department explores the important theories and key technologies of grassland production and utilization from the levels of basic theory, application practice and technical system, dedicated to the research of productivity improvement and stability maintenance mechanism of natural grassland and artificial grassland, restoration of production and ecological functions of natural grassland, improve the key technologies of hay making and silage processing for high quality forage production, and establish the large-scale, mechanized and intelligent modern forage production technology system. Meanwhile, our department research and development the grass-animal interface biological transformation and efficiency enhancement technology, create the intensive and efficient modern grass-animal husbandry sustainable development model, promote the national crop industry "grain-cash -feed crops" ternary structure adjustment, provide scientific basis for the state and production departments decision-making.
